About Sheetal

Sheetal Sohoni serves as a Professor of Practice at MITAOE in school of Design and visiting faculty at Symbiosis Institute of Design She has also worked as an educational consultant at Hyderabad Institute of Technology, adjunct assistant professor in User Experience Design at Milwaukee School of Engineering and Graphic Information Technology at Arizona State University (ASU). Her multidisciplinary background spans a B.Arch (RGPV), BS and M.Tech in Graphic Information Technology (ASU), associate’s in graphic design (NOC), and a UX Graduate Certificate (UW–Madison), complemented by certifications from IDEO U and the Center for Humane Technology. As a UX consultant, Sheetal has contributed to NIH and NSF grants for ASU and University of Delaware. Her client roster includes Children’s Hospital of Washington, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Compass for Courage, and IUCEE. Her research focuses on human-computer interaction, UX/UI design, and behavioral psychology, with work published in Journal of Engineering Education, IEEE SeGAH, and ICTIEE. She regularly conducts workshops on design ethics, project-based learning, and effective communication. A President’s Scholar and recipient of ASU’s Outstanding Undergraduate and Graduate Student Awards, Sheetal is an inducted member of Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key Honor Society, and the Design Justice Network.
