Overview:

Sugat is a Mechanical Engineer with a Master’s degree in Design (M.Des) from IIT Guwahati, bringing over six years of professional experience at the intersection of engineering, design, and innovation. He is an i-Fellow alumnus of the School of International Biodesign at AIIMS, New Delhi, where he worked on identifying unmet clinical needs and developing need-driven medical devices through a rigorous, user-centric innovation process.

His areas of interest include medical device design, games and toy design, furniture design, and material exploration, with a strong focus on translating ideas into tangible, manufacturable solutions. Sugat is driven by the belief that good design must go beyond form and concept—it must create real value, enable innovation, and reach the market. His work strives to bridge design thinking with engineering feasibility to build meaningful, product-based solutions.
